Payment methods
One way to pay, described in full: cash to the driver, when the parcel is in your hands and not before.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1Cash on delivery, and only that
You pay the courier, in cash, at the door, when the parcel is handed to you. That is the single payment method this shop offers — not one option among several, the only one.
Nothing is taken in advance. No deposit, no part-payment, no pre-authorisation, no invoice to settle before dispatch. If the parcel never arrives, you have paid nothing.
2What this site never asks you for
It is worth being blunt, because the habit of typing a card number into a shop is a strong one:
- No card number, expiry date or security code is ever requested, on any page of this site.
- No bank account or IBAN is requested to place an order.
- No payment page is hosted here and none is linked from here.
- Nothing of that kind is stored, because nothing of that kind is ever collected. There is no card vault to breach.
So if a page, an email or a caller claiming to be us ever asks you for a card number or a bank transfer before delivery, it is not us. Do not give it, and tell us at mail@buyatopia.com.
The order form asks for a name, a delivery address and a phone number. That is the whole of it.
3Knowing the exact amount before the driver comes
The total is the price of the goods, and only that: we add nothing for delivery, whatever you order and wherever it goes. It is shown on the order form before you confirm, and read back to you on the confirmation call, so it is settled twice before anyone sets off.
Drivers carry little or no change and are not obliged to break a large note. Having the exact sum ready is the difference between a thirty-second doorstep and a failed delivery.
4Euro on this page, your own money at the door
Prices on the English shop front are in euro and include VAT where it applies.
Outside the euro area the driver collects the equivalent in the local currency — Poland in złoty, Czechia in koruna, Hungary in forint, Romania in lei. The country page for your market shows that figure directly, and the confirmation call states it again, so you are never converting anything yourself on the doorstep.
The conversion is fixed when the order is confirmed. If the rate moves afterwards, the sum you were told is the sum you pay.
5At the door
Look at the parcel before you pay: the outside of the box, the tape, whether the weight feels right. Nothing stops you refusing a parcel that is obviously damaged, and a refused parcel costs you nothing.
The driver takes the cash and leaves. Some operators issue a slip for the collection; where they do, keep it — it is your evidence of payment, and it is worth photographing before it disappears into a drawer.
If anything is wrong once the box is open, the routes out are returns and refunds and the right of withdrawal.
6Getting money back when you paid in cash
There is no card to credit and no transaction to reverse, so a refund has to be arranged rather than automated. We write to you, you give us the bank details for the account you want the money in, and the transfer goes out from there.
The account has to be yours, in your name. We do not send refunds to third parties, and we never ask for bank details for any purpose other than paying you.
7Anything unclear about paying
Ask before you order, not after: mail@buyatopia.com, open every day, 08:00–20:00 Central European Time, answered within 2 working days.
